Homelessness is such a huge problem in the UK and indeed the world today. There are more than 4,000 people sleeping rough on the streets of London alone and of course many more ‘hidden homeless’ who are all struggling to get back on their feet. At St Mungo’s, we work hard to end homelessness and support those who find themselves homeless on the streets of London and the surrounding areas, but we could not continue our efforts without the help of the public.
Say No To Homelessness
If you find the problem of homelessness as distressing and unacceptable as us, think about what you could do to help end homelessness. We know that times are hard for everyone, but if you could find it in your heart to make a small donation then you really would make a great difference to the lives of the homeless in London.
Of course, in the struggle to end homelessness, it is not only money which is important. We are always looking for volunteers who can give us a few hours of their time each month to improve the lives of the homeless in the UK. We currently have over 100 projects running to support the homeless and as you can imagine, it takes a great deal of manpower to keep them going. If you decide to volunteer with us, we will help you every step of the way with training and advice which will help you to help the homeless whilst gaining valuable life skills and meeting some great people.
